S235 Carbon structural steel: S235 structural steel plate meets European structural steel standard EN 10025: 2004. S235 structural steel plate is a common carbon structural steel that can be used in a very broad range of fabrication processes. With minimum yield strength of 33 ksi at 16mm, this plate has excellent formability but is limited in applications requiring higher weight-bearing structural specifications.

Inline with the European Standard classifications, Structural steels must be referenced using standard symbols including but not limited to: "S"235"J2’‘K2’’C’’Z’’W’’JR’’JO’’

ASTM A36: ASTM A36 Steel is one of the most common metals used for structural applications. It is strong, tough, ductile, formable and weldable. A36 is a mild and hot rolled low carbon steel. Low carbon steels are classified by having less than 0.3% carbon by weight. This allows A36 steel to be easily machined, welded, and formed, making it extremely useful as a general-purpose like grinding, tapping, drilling etc.

EN 10025-2 S235JR/J2/JO STEEL PLATE: S235JR (+N) is a non-alloy structural steel which can be used in many ways and their application can be diverse. They are particularly useful because they offer the unique combination of good welding properties with guaranteed strengths.
